The Children at Syding Castle have been taught to be polite to their visitors, but when one very rude young visitor pushes Flick into the lake, causing her to almost drown, how should she react? Read how the accident changes her life in very positive ways . Meanwhile the archaeologists excavate the burial ground on the Roman site, only to discover a mass grave of Vikings. Were they part of a massacre? About the Author: Mary Millard is retired and living in Weymouth with her second husband, the Rev. Malcolm Millard. Converted at the age of 17 after a somewhat disturbed and troubled childhood, she trained as a nurse and midwife. After qualifying she went to Uganda to work in medical research. It was there she met her first husband, PhilipWeeks, a missionary with the Africa Inland Mission. They served in the Congo before returning to England to work with Scripture Union. They had four children, (three surviving) and now have five grandchildren. Philip was ill for many years, and died in 2000. In 2001 Mary began to engage in short-term missionary work in the Great Lakes area of Africa, and also to write books. She has a passion to share Jesus with children through the medium of literature.
